Radio astronomy

Employees of our institute actively participate in research conducted using the most modern radio telescopes. A team of researchers was involved in performing a radio survey of the sky (Meterwavelength Single-pulse Polarimetric Emission Survey) using the GMRT telescope. The results of these observations were publications that initiated a whole series of studies on the radio emission of pulsars. The scope of research included, among others, the phenomenon of drifting subpulses phenomena, the phenomenon of radio emission decay (nulling), and the dependence of the pulse width on the pulsar's rotation period. The results of the analysis can be found on the project website.
